Plus-size debate is becoming increasingly abstruse

No more fatigue, says the # ImNoAngel campaign by plus-size label Lane Bryant. Real women instead of Victoria's Secret angels, is the message that causes many critics.

Last week, American plus-size label Lane Bryant released his "I'm No Angel" campaign, sparking a ripple in the net: Curvy models in lingerie proudly announcing: "We're not Victoria's Secret angels have (anyway or just because of that) an insane body. The message arrived and was shared on social networks. But now there is criticism that the action is discriminatory.

Sexy poses, lace lingerie, feminine curves: With "I'm No Angel" Lane Bryant taunts against the meager competition. Also on our Facebook page came the advertising with political statement: "These are women and not hungry, " writes a user. "Pretty women and great faces! Great charisma - that does not even have some skinny models!", post another. But including critical voices with the statement: "Body Shaming" work in both directions. "Why is it better for short-haired women to attack thin women than to be the other way around?", is asked in the comments. And that's exactly why the worldwide criticism turns to # ImNoAngel campaign .

Officially, the advertising should make strong for curvy women. Alternatively, photos and slogans can also be interpreted differently: "Skinny bashing" and "body shaming" are the words, ie discrimination based on the body. Are curves the new bones? Is thin now fancier than fat - or the other way around? A comprehensive beauty all-around campaign should include all body silhouettes. And not one body image over the other.

How the label reacts to the allegations? Company boss Linda Heasley said in an official statement, "No body needs to be perfect, every woman should feel comfortable in her skin. Our 'I'm no Angel' campaign was designed to encourage all women in every part of to love each other. " And even after the criticism, the fashion brand again announced on Twitter: "Sexy is sexy, no matter what size." A statement that hopefully critics and supporters can agree on.
