Flip flops or rain jacket? If you want to know in the morning how the weather will get during the day, you are welcome to familiarize yourself with the weather forecast in the net. A recent investigation by Stiftung Warentest revealed that eight out of ten online weather services can be trusted.
" We tested ten free online weather services, " says expert Christian Schlüter. " The best forecasts were made by wetter.com ." But only for the current day. For the following days neither the test winner nor any of the other services could predict the weather. " For long-term forecasts, the predicted temperatures differ on average by five degrees from the actual, " says the expert.
For their weather forecast n, the services use many different measurement data such as the temperatures measured by the German Weather Service, rainfall and air pressure. These are compared with similar weather conditions and evaluated.
