Hideaways for hedgehogs in their own garden
In the cold season, the hedgehogs need our help. In hedgehog houses they find shelter and refuge. We show you how you can build one yourself.
That's what you need for the Hedgehog house:
- old fruit box
- abrasive paper
- Acrylic paint in white
- jigsaw
- brush
And that's how easy it is:
1. Using a jigsaw, cut a 15 cm wide "door" into the box, sand the edges.
2. Paint a hedgehog family over the sawn opening with white acrylic varnish. Let it dry well.
3. Fill the hedgehog house with straw, cover the sides and the roof with bark so that drafts are avoided.
