Whether you work from home or just manage your private documents - order is very important. That's how it works

Are you thinking of working from home? A home office requires a lot of discipline. Not only in terms of work ethic, in terms of order. We give you tips ...

Sitting down and working at home costs enough to overcome. When the home office sinks into chaos, the motivation becomes even harder.

"If you want to put your life in order, you have to clean up your house first, " says a Chinese wisdom. The same applies to the home office: Order not only creates the overview required for a full-time job, but also provides additional energy and motivation.

If you stick to these five golden rules for the home office, it works out with the order:

1. Give everyone a place

The more you stack on the desk, the greater the risk of sinking into chaos. Storage space in the form of shelves and sideboards you can not have enough. Only what you need on a daily basis should be kept well within reach.

2. Keep overview

Use color to differentiate different topics. Highlighters and colorful stickers help with this. Do you always have a block on which to write down flashes of inspiration or make a list in the morning about what to do?

3. Find perfect position

The screen of the computer should only be so high that you can just look over it. Then take a posture before that protects the shoulders, neck and eyes. Orient the desk so that the window is not directly in the back, otherwise there will be reflections on the monitor.

4. Illuminate well

Bright, cold light is exhausting for the eyes. The ceiling lighting should emit as warm, soft light as possible. In addition, a bright and flexible desk lamp is ideal, which you can align with the keyboard or papers on the table.

5. Create atmosphere

The home office does not need a sterile office atmosphere. Colorful accents, photos, a green plant - pretty accessories make the room come alive. But too much distraction is not good. Use decoration rather sparingly.
