Unusual collecting passion

Please do not confuse: The glass content is by no means noodles. This man collects his nails in a jar - a hobby with disgust factor!

The Messie syndrome describes the compulsive hoarding of objects. Most of the time the problem is reflected in the home of those affected. This man, however, is more of a twill-messie, because he simply can not separate himself from one: his nails.

Richard Gibson has not only been following this truly unusual passion since yesterday - his well-kept glass contains his nails of the last 36 years . The hobby with disgust factor came about by chance. In the 1970s Gibson starts from day to day to store his toenails in a box instead of throwing them away. The intention behind it is simple: It simply interested the man, how long it would take until the box was full. But the unusual enthusiasm continues: When a box is full, just follow the next larger vessel. Meanwhile Gibson collects his nails in a mason jar with the capacity of his toenails of the last 36 years.

The man has always been passionate about scurrility - a hobby that his wife definitely does not share with him. With the separation comes the relief for Gibson: Finally he does not have to hide anymore! Because instead of shame, the man feels pride for his unusual collection. The hobby with Ekelfaktor has actually made it into the new "Ripley's" book - for Gibson is a dream come true.

Some collect crown caps, others stickers. This man collects his nails. If the preserving jar is full, Gibson will surely find a larger vessel to continue his unusual collecting passion. One thing you have to let the nail Messie: On scurrility his collection can hardly be surpassed!
