Couture cuts meet floral prints

Each year, the H & M Design Award honors young fashion designers. Now winner Eddy Anemian presented his collection for the Swedish label.

With his "extraordinary craftsmanship", he convinced the jury of H & M chief designer Ann-Sofie Johansson in January. And rightly so: in the maxi skirt, the key piece of his collection, three days were spent on handwork, which is mainly due to a special production technology. The native Frenchman cut a vintage flower fabric into many stripes and put it together again. The eye can only guess the flower print and yet tingle a few spring feelings in the stomach, according to the motto of the collection "They Can Cut All The Flowers, They Can not Keep Spring From Coming".

Eight months later, with a degree from the Belgian fashion school L'École de la Cambre, Eddy Anemian is now the proud designer of a capsule collection for H & M. Pieces from the line he presented in January were produced in large numbers by the Swedish label and will be available in selected stores from 24 October.

These include a flower skirt, a jumpsuit and a top with tight white flounces. He has not only found it with us, but also with H & M fans. Chief Designer Ann-Sofie Johansson said in an interview: " Eddy Anemian's winning collection was stunning, and we really enjoyed working with him and making his work accessible to a wider audience." And we are looking forward to it!
