Duchess Camilla: Crying she confessed her guilt!

Duchess Camilla - No sacrifice was too great for Charles.

Moving pronunciation with William and Harry

It just had to happen sometime: the important debate between the princes William (30) and Harry (28) - and Camilla (65). The woman who once brought disaster to her mother Diana († 1997), who was guilty of separating her parents. But that is still the great love of her father Charles (64). And even if the relationship of the princes to Camilla is good today - there were still so many questions ...

It was Camilla who finally wanted to clear the field. For years she had pushed this debate . Too many things she had to keep quiet in order not to destroy the harmony in the family.

But now, just before William becomes a father for the first time, Camilla bravely sought conversation with Diana's sons. The three met in the red salon of St. James's Palace and over a cup of tea the Duchess just started to talk.

For the first time she told William and Harry how she met Charles. That it was great love for both of them, but they were not allowed to marry. And how difficult it was to bow to the dictates of the court and separate. "But we could not leave each other, " Camilla admitted as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Restrained and warmhearted

For the young Lady Diana Camilla found warm words. That she loved her and that her death was a personal tragedy for her. Especially now she often thinks of Diana: "It is so sad that your mother never allowed her first grandchild in her arms ..."

But she heartily pledged to be William Williams's kind of loving grandmother, as she is to her own grandchildren.

A promise that brought tears to everyone's eyes. "Camilla is cautious, but warm-hearted and smart, " Harry knows from experience. Because she never tried to take Diana's place. Camilla was more the sympathetic aunt, the trusted advisor in the background.

The princes are grateful for that. Years ago, they made peace with their father's wife. Already eleven months after Diana's death, the first conversation between the young William and the then lover took place, also in the salon of St. James's Palace. The prince wanted to meet her in order to form a judgment for herself.

It was a long conversation. Relaxed, without reproaches. "But after that I needed a gin first, " Camilla admitted. Still, it was the first step to a friendship with William and Harry, who once said, "She is a wonderful woman who makes our father very happy." Camilla is by no means the wicked stepmother, he and his brother love her.

Nevertheless, the Duchess wanted the princes to know and understand everything in order to forgive her. And so she spoke now also about the time in which she was called and "humiliated" as "Rottweiler". How she suffered then. And then she said softly, "It was my only fault that I love your father so much ..."
