Hartz IV: She wants to become geriatric nurse, but the office does not participate

She is 27 years old, mother, Hartz IV recipient and has found her dream job. But the road to education and the loss of Hartz IV is not easy - especially because the employment office puts her in the way.

Before Melanie Tröger is a rocky path. As the mother of a two-year-old child, she would like nothing better than to break away from Hartz IV, start training as a geriatric nurse and finally stand on her own two feet. She already has experience in this industry, since she has been working as a helper in outpatient care for the elderly for one year. The training could start in September and when the training is completed, they would no longer need a Hartz IV increase. But it is not that easy.

According to "Day 24" she receives no funding. What the reason is, they do not understand. "As soon as I finished training, I would earn enough, so I would not need the topping up, " she said to "Day 24". The responsible employment agency, so "day 24", has not commented on the case, as it violates the data protection law. As the case goes out, so it remains to be seen.
