The fashion giant thinks about

Role model? Wrong! H & M's CEO Karl-Johann Persson says (38): "Our models were too thin!" That should change now.

H & M is one of the most famous labels worldwide. Huge advertising campaigns, almost 3, 000 branches and megastars as testimonials : the textile giant not only has a great influence on the lives of its customers, H & M must also be a role model.

In an interview with the "Metro", CEO Karl-Johann Persson (38) admits that he often failed in the past. Best example: the picture of morbidly thin-looking models.

In the interview, Persson says, "We are a big company, a lot of people perceive us and we do a lot of advertising, I do not think we were always good, some of our models were far too thin."

But a rethinking seems there: "We want to show diversity and our customers do not give a firm picture of how a woman has to look."

The first steps in the right direction have been taken: a curvy Beyoncé as the face of the swimwear campaign, big-size beauty Jennie Runk (24), currently on H & M's website. As well as Persson's clear promise: "Healthy models, always!"
