Even from a distance, its distinctive smell attracts us. The fingers are warmed at the cup, the hot steam is well-loved and inhaled. He just belongs to the mulled wine - at the Christmas market and under the Christmas tree.

The classic mulled wine tastes of red grapes and fine cinnamon. The white alternative to bright fruits and delicate vanilla. Especially popular: apple mulled wine. A tribute to the Frankfurt 'Äppelwoi'.

Mulled wine goes without - without alcohol. The basis for the alcohol-free hot drink is juicy apples and fruity elderberries, refined with a dash of lemon and a touch of cinnamon.

A little tip: mulled wine may only be heated and not cooked. Otherwise, its alcohol evaporates and the spices become bitter. Whether red or white - homemade it tastes best. And it is especially delicious with vanilla kipper and biscuit.
