Surprise bestseller could get successor
It was the book hit in 2012: The captivating thriller 'Gone Girl' just got our goose bumps over our backs - and we want more of them. Hope is actually in sight!
Author Gillian Flynn revealed that she is open to a continuation of her most famous work. It could be both a novel, as well as a movie.
"That could be pretty interesting, we could continue to spin the story and see what the crazy Dunnes are doing in a few years ..." she told The New York Daily News. We think so too, as the current ending of 'Gone Girl' leaves enough room for a continuation.
By the way, Gillian Flynn is sure that Rosamund Pike and Ben Affleck have to take the lead roles in a movie sequel - 'Never change a winning team' is the name of the game.
Before a possible 'Gone Girl' sequel comes, however, we can look forward to Gillian Flynn's other works: Dark Places is currently being filmed with Charlize Theron and Christina Hendricks, Sharp Objects is currently developing a television series.
