Healthy weight loss? Glyx diet: Lose weight with feelings of happiness

The Glyx-Di t works with the "glycemic index" (Glyx): How fast do foods raise blood sugar? Low index foods help burn fat.

The glyx di t depends on the glycemic index. If it is low, the blood sugar level rises more slowly. Result: You are not hungry so soon

This is how the GLYX diet works

The Glyx diet is about how quickly which foods raise blood sugar levels. It is based on the glycemic index. Carbohydrates with a high glycemic index can digest the body faster. If the value is high, the carbohydrates of the respective food get into the blood more quickly and cause the blood sugar level to rise faster. A low glycemic index causes the blood sugar level to rise more slowly, producing less insulin in the body. High levels of insulin production can increase your appetite, as our body's own cells absorb more blood sugar through this hormone, resulting in more fat deposits and no loss of fat reserves.

For these reasons, the Glyx Diet focuses primarily on whole grains, fruits and vegetables as well as on vegetable oils, nuts and legumes. Eggs, dairy products, poultry and fish are allowed up to twice a day.

Should be avoided pasta, husked rice, white flour, potatoes and sweets. In order to stimulate the metabolism, sport (for example jogging) is used in the Glyx diet.

The benefits of the GLYX diet

  • Plenty of fruits and vegetables
  • Lots of fiber
  • Supportive movement is an important factor
  • Very positive, because it is about a permanent diet change
  • Foods in the Glyx diet contain a lot of fiber, make you full, although they have low energy and thus support weight loss

The disadvantages of the GLYX diet

  • The glycemic index is dependent on the combination and preparation of the food, therefore difficult to assess
  • The individual metabolism is crucial to the success of the Glyx diet
  • There is still no scientific evidence for diet success
  • The relations of nutrients are not balanced
  • In the first few days of the diet, the intake of nutrients is very low (just under 1000 calories)

Conclusion

In principle recommended, as the Glyx diet pursues a long-term change in diet. The recommended diet, however, is partly extremely rich in protein and fat. This can stress the heart and kidneys. Positive is the recommended abundant consumption of fruits and vegetables. The division into high, medium and low Glyx is partly questionable. For weight loss, this method has been well proven. If you are permanently on the glycemic index, you can keep your desired weight well.
