The summer holidays are coming to an end and the new training year is starting. Fittingly, there are numerous legislative changes and new laws. But these not only affect education, there are also interesting changes in the area of families, living or cosmetics.
Smaller income families receive more support
The government increases the child allowance and thus supports mainly single parents. Appropriately for the upcoming school start, the funding for the school equipment equipment increases to 150 euros per school year. In addition, the own shares at school lunches, as well as student transport accounts.
Kita contributions become federal thing
The Kita contributions should be made more social. Therefore, from the beginning of the day care center graduation of the financial contributions of the parents. Depending on the income, the Kita amount is determined. Families who receive housing allowance and child allowance, on the other hand, no longer pay childcare contributions for their children.
Higher BAföG for more students
Students can be happy because from August 2019 there will be more money. The maximum amount of support will increase from the current 735 euros to 861 euros per month in 2020. In addition, more young people have the chance to receive BAföG, because the allowance for parents' income is now higher.
More support for trainees
The vocational training allowance for apprentices will be increased. Thus, the maximum amount for living and living increases from 622 euros per month to 716 euros. But also the education allowance for young people with disabilities is raised.
Against social service fraud
The state is intensifying its efforts against illegal employment and social fraud. The new law gives customs more powers and more employees.
The online ID function will be extended
For a long time, people who have an identity card can identify with him safely on the Internet. This function has now been extended so that citizens of the Union and German nationals living abroad can finally use it. The law will enter into force in part on 5 August 2019. The essential provisions, however, only on 1 November 2019.
Less fragrance in cosmetics
Some fragrances can cause allergies. Therefore, they may no longer be used in cosmetics from 23 August 2019 and even no longer be placed on the EU market.

The housing offensive

Authorities can specify residence
Authorities can choose a residence from recognized refugees for a whopping three years. For a long time this regulation was controversial and therefore temporary, this time limit has now been lifted.
Foreigners Employment Promotion Act enters into force
With the Aliens Employment Promotion Act, refugees have faster access to integration and language courses. It also facilitates their entry into vocational training in order to integrate them more quickly into the labor market.
