Bag-wise reading material

Beautiful documents: This original gift box is made quickly. All you need are old books and our folding instructions.

What you need for the gift bags:

  • Book pages (old books from the flea market)
  • Glue stick (eg Pritt)
  • Silicone stamp: Alphabet and numbers, large (www.idee-shop.com, for about 20 euros)
  • black and white ribbon (craft shop)
  • scissors

And that's how easy it is:

1. Fold the paper bag: book page across (for a small bag), upright (for narrow and high bags) or two edges stuck together (for a large bag) in front of you, on the right side fold a strip about 1 cm wide. Apply adhesive glue to this edge and stick to the left side to form a hose.

2. For the bottom, fold the lower edge 4 cm upwards. Open again. Reach into the flap and fold in a triangle on both sides.

3. Then the top and bottom edges to the folded center flaps. Apply a glue stick to one side, then glue them together to form the floor.

4. Stamp the bag if necessary.

5. Fill the bag.

6. Fold the openings and close them with tape as you like.
