Teenage boy is bullied on Facebook after posting a picture of herself in her ball gown
On Facebook, two men have set themselves the task of bullying Kristen Layne. But then the 18-year-old gets unexpected support.
For 18-year-old Kristen Layne of Tennessee, USA, the prom of her junior high (the ball before the transition to high school) was "the most beautiful night of her life". The fairy-tale dress that the young woman chose for this special occasion certainly contributed to this wonderful experience. In order to remember her now approaching Senior Prom with a happy smile on her face, Kristen now wants to buy a new ball gown. Unfortunately, the teenager is missing the necessary change.
Kristen Layne reluctantly decided to sell her beautiful blue princess ball gown. On Facebook, she posted a photo of herself in her ball gown in the For Sale in Sumner County, TN group. Potential buyers should contact Kristen. Unfortunately, the 18-year-old initially received no serious offers. Instead, it hailed malice and ridicule. Two male Facebook users had made it their mission to mock girls for their weight. Kristen was devastated. The cyber bullying hurt her. Until the story suddenly took a completely unexpected turn.
After all, other Facebook users actually understood the mean bully and made clear to Kristen Layne with her own posts that she looks wonderful and the dress is an absolute dream. Entirely strangers gave the young woman support and supported her with her original intentions. Kristens idea was to sell her ball gown for 350 US dollars. In the end, nearly $ 400 came together to help the teenager buy a beautiful new dress for her senior prom.
After this incident Kristen tries to look positively into the future. The whole story has definitely given a new meaning to her ball gown. The young woman hopes that the magic of the dress will be transferred to the new future wearer. In an interview with American television Channel 4, Kristen said, "I just want her to feel great."
