Quirky Princess
Once shrill - always shrill. See Gloria of Thurn and Taxis . Although the 50 exceeded and more subtle than before, for many it is still the bizarre princess from Regensburg, which as a punk lady Germany's aristocratic scene vigorously stirred up.
But - how long has it been ...? Around the 25 years! Only after her marriage to the multi-billionaire Prince Johannes von Thurn and Taxis (1980) did Gloria von Thurn and Taxis develop her eccentric talent. After the death of her husband (1990), the young widow and mother of three children put on their own reins and noticeably slowed down their exuberant temper. Only if it serves the self-promotion, as at the annual castle festival, the boss of the Thurn and Taxis clan sometimes shows that she has not forgotten how to put in scene. Then all the world remembers the fun factor of past years, and indeed so sustainable that it can even spark new interest. At least that's what daughter Elisabeth (29) is trying to do. She works as a journalist. Her direct uncle, Count Alexander zu Schönburg-Glauchau, does this as well. As a "nobility expert" he frequently reports supposedly unknown facts from the circles of the royals in Gazetten. He, too, once chatted out of the sewing box of his sister, Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis, but not as frankly as his niece Elisabeth now. The outet currently in her book (diary of a princess) a number of so-called bad habits of her mom and describes how embarrassing and unpleasant she was as a child so many of these maternal escapades. But: is that allowed? Will Princess Gloria of Thurn and Taxis really be exposed here, as it might seem, by spicy publications by her own daughter? Probably not. Who knows how the nobility are ticking and, in addition, knows a little about the house of Thurn and Taxis, who senses that there is little that permeates the palace walls without Gloria's blessing. So there is hardly any genuinely secretive to read, but funny, unusual and original, to which princess Gloria stands both today and today - to her resolute performances, to unconventional way of life and to her special art taste.
