It was designed to dispel evil rumors and spread the sunshine - the "love" interview that Prince Albert (54) and his wife Charlène (34) had arranged with CBS on the occasion of their first wedding anniversary. But the bill did not work out: the conversation ended rather confused. The most embarrassing moments from the audience now also experienced on RTL "Exclusive" and VOX "Prominent".
At first everything went according to plan. Albert praised his marriage very committed. She feels good, it's wonderful. Reports that something was wrong with him and his wife were completely untrue, unfair and hurt, the prince said. His wife also found her "Ehedasein" great. "I recommend it, " she said. Pure luck - so it seemed. But only for a moment.
Completely out of line the interview then came to the completely harmless question to Charlène, how she would cope with her role as a princess. The person in question stammered, turned away, looked at her husband, who then, in order to catch the embarrassment, voiced a true eulogy to his wife, when Charlène stepped on the floor and plucked at her blouse. Did she suspect that she had already spoofed the self-promotion in terms of marital bliss?
But it got worse. On the even harmless question of her "qualities" as a princess Charlène remained silent. She laughed awkwardly, even covering her ears, until her PR adviser stepped in from the background, shouting, " Charlene, do not answer!" Albert's eyes spoke volumes. As a media-savvy man, he recognized the disaster and broke off the interview .
