You need this:
- solid colored tracing paper (craft shop, sheet from approx. 0.60 €)
- strong wrapping paper or scrapbook paper in matching colors (craft shop / department store)
- drinking glass
- narrow double-sided adhesive tape (eg from Tesa)
- Motivational scissors (eg wave edge)
- pencil
- ruler
- scissors
That's how it works:
1. For the lantern made of tracing paper and wrapping paper, cut out one rectangle each according to the circumference of the glass plus adhesive seam x the desired height. Cut transparent paper at the upper edge with the shears.
2. Fix transparent paper around the glass with adhesive tape.
3. Fold the wrapping paper in the middle once in the middle.
4. Using the scissors, cut every 1.2 cm from the kink until just before the edge of the open edge.
5. Glue the wrapping paper around the transparent lantern, pressing the upper edge about 4 cm down so that the strips spread outwards.
