Together against intolerance

Incredible: In the supermarket a customer insulted an employee who is disabled. But at the cash register she learns the just punishment!

Although we all wish to live in a tolerant and respectful society, we come across people who only think of themselves. There will always be people whose narrow-mindedness and selfishness can only shake their heads. But stories like these hopefully agree that cohesion can defeat such an attitude. A student reports on the Internet about her shocking experience in the supermarket. At the cash desk, she meets a woman whose unfriendliness to a mentally handicapped employee leaves her unbelievable . But the story takes an unexpected turn, so she decides to share the event on the Internet.

"(I'm in my usual supermarket at checkout.) The goods packer is a loving man with intellectual disabilities, who is currently wary of my stuff.)

Packer: "Do you want this bag?" (He holds up one of my jute bags that, like me, has a hole.)

Me: "No, you better take another. Thanks."

A woman behind me: "My God! Hurry up!"

Me: "I've just finished paying, he's doing fine."

Woman behind me: "Oh, you are as slow as he is God, you special people have to stop disturbing the normal people."

Packer: * looks hurt * "She's not stupid. She's going to university." He points to the Uni logo on my sweatpants. "She is very smart."

Me: "And he's the best bagpacker here! He's very careful, which is very good at food."

My bags are packed. Because the man knows I walk back to my dorm, he hands me the bags and helps me to change them.

Woman behind me: "God, he does not want to help you to bring the bags to the car, what a failure, I want to talk to the store manager!"

Me: "I walk on foot, dear lady, you want to contact the store manager about something that I have explicitly asked this employee several times?"

Packer: * to me * "Have a nice day!"

The woman behind me: "idiot."

The cashier, who had not said anything the whole time, looks at the woman quite calmly.

Cashier: "I refuse to serve you because you've massively discriminated against a valued employee and a regular customer, you can leave your goods here, we'll put you back later. Please go."

(The woman decides instead to make a scene, in the end she even breaks a shelf, one employee has to hold her down while the packer is taking me and another customer to safety behind a tobacco stall.) We have to wait for that Police are coming.)

Packer: "Will you come back next week anyway? * He looks worried *

Me: "Jap."

(His smile made me happy for the rest of the day) "
