You need that for the penguin:

  • Lana Grossa quality "McWool Cotton Mix 80" (50% cotton, 50% polyacryl, X = approx. 80m / 50g); 150g black (Fb. 518) and approx. 50g white (Fb. 516)
  • 1 crochet hook No. 6
  • 1 woolen needle by Lana Grossa
  • Wadding from Prym
  • 2 mother of pearl buttons from Union Knopf, Att. 1800l, 18mm Ø, Fb. 99 white.

And this is how it's done:

Fe M: Crochet in a round. Start each round with 1 airm (do not substitute fe M) and shoot with 1 sl st in this airm. Crochet every 1st row on the next row in the 1st row of the row.

Duplicate 1 st: Crochet 1 st in previous round 2 toe sts.

Cut off 1 st: Cut off 2 sts in total [= pull from 2 adjoining sts each 1 loop, then with 1 new U all on the nd. cut off loops together.

Stitch : 12, 5 Fe M and 11, 5 Rd with Crochet. No. 6 = 10 x 10 cm.

Execution - Body: Start with the belly . For this apply 2 air m in black. For the 1st round 8 crochet M back into the 1st air of the stop and close with 1 sl st. Then each successive round with 1 Kettm in the Luftm from the Rd start and continue to crochet M in Rd. Duplicate every other sts on round 2 = 16 dc in 2nd round double every 2 dc in sts = 24 dc in 4th round double every 3rd dc = 32 dc in sts Crochet M without increases. On the 6th round double every 4th row sts = 40 dc. Crochet 7th round over 40 dc with no increases. On the 8th round double every 4th round sts = 50 dc in the 9th row double every 5th dc = 60 dc. Crochet the 10th - 20th rounds for 60 dc without any increase. On the 21st round ch 6x10 sts each 9th and 10th st = 54 sts. Crochet the 22nd and 23rd rounds each over 54 dc without declines. On the 24th round knit 9 times each 5th and 6th st = 45 sts. Crochet the 25th and 26th rounds each over 45 dc without declines. On the 27th round knit 5 times every 8th and 9th st = 40 sts. Crochet 28th - 30th round sts for 40th st without loss. On the 31st round, work 8 times at every 4th and 5th st = 32 sts. Now stuff the body out. On the 32nd round, work 8 times at every 3rd and 4th st = 24 sts. On the 33rd row, dec 5 and 6 sts each on every 20 th = 20 sts. In the 34th round add 2 sts each. cut off = 10 sts. Here again replenish the body and fill completely. Crochet the 35th round over 10 feet sts. Now finish the work. With the wool. Slightly pull together the 10 sts at the end of the thread, taking hold of each scraper.

Head : Start at the back of the head. For this apply 2 air m in black. For the 1st round 8 crochet M back into the 1st air of the stop and close with 1 sl st. Then each successive round with 1 Kettm in the Luftm from the Rd start and continue to crochet M in Rd. On 2nd row double every 15 st = 16 dc M. In 3rd row double every 2 sts M = 24 dc. Crochet 4th - 8th rounds inc. 24 dc each. On the 9th round knit 8 times every 2nd and 3rd st = 16 dc. Crochet 16 sl st in the 10th round. Now for the beak in white weiterarb. Crochet 16 sl sts each in 11th and 12th round, then plunge behind the kettle in the 11th round, so that they are on top of each other. Now stuff his head. On the 13th row dec 1 st st at each 3rd and 4th st = 12 dc. Crochet 14th round without sts over 12 dc sts. On the 15th round cast off 2 sl sts each = 6 dc. Gently stuff the beak. Now from each st, take another 1 sling and this with the wool. Pull together with the thread end. Cover the end of the thread somewhat invisibly and pull it inwards.

Wing (crochet 2x): Start at the top. For this apply 2 air m in black. For the 1st round 8 crochet M back into the 1st air of the stop and close with 1 sl st. Then each successive round with 1 Kettm in the Luftm from the Rd start and continue to crochet M in Rd. Crochet the 2nd round over 8 feet sts. On the 3rd row, double every other 2 sts = 12 dc. Crochet 4-8th row without any increase over 12 sts each. On the 9th row double every other 2 st = 18 dc. Crochet the 10th and 11th rounds without any increase over 18 sts each. On the 12th round doubling every other 3 sts = 24 dc. Now place the sts in a halfway course and crochet 1 st at the front with the appropriate st from the back half = 12 ds.

Finishing : For the eyes 1 button each with black cross stitch crosswise according to sketch or model picture both. sew on the head. Sew the head and wing on the side of the body according to the sketch or model picture.
