Jealousy, faith, fear of the future

The showmaster Florian Silbereisen (31) shows up just before his "autumn festival of surprises" from a very gentle and thoughtful side.

He is one of the most popular presenters on German television. Unsurprisingly - after all, he is the perfect host in his programs, but he also provides good entertainment for himself.

Privately, however, Florian Silbereisen often has many serious thoughts. About his life and his happiness. He tells us now everything about his faith, his existential fears and jealousy - his great life confession :

The unusual childhood

"When I was little, my parents for a time waived a lot for me. They sacrificed every free minute and supported me.

My dad spent many nights with me as a boy driving through the country to the gigs. What was good for that, you did not know that back then. I am still so grateful to my parents for everything they have done for me. "

What calms his nerves

"I believe that there is someone who takes care of me and all of us. It helps me to go back for a few minutes before a program. I also thank him regularly for my happiness. "

The loneliness he seeks

"Although I'm late sleepers, I love getting up early and going golfing. If the lawn is still wet with dew, the air is still fresh and everything is still so quiet - I like to play my tracks. But also a walk in nature - that is pure happiness. "

What makes him happy now

"My greatest pleasure is being able to entertain people well. If the audience at the end of the show say, 'That was a nice evening', then I'm satisfied. "

The fear of the future

"I am a very optimistic person and therefore try to see something positive in everything. That's why I'm not afraid of the future. I love my job very much. But I like to play in front of 50 people as well as in front of thousands.

Besides, there are so many things that interest me. And I do not need any material luxury, I'm frugal. I have my three-room apartment. That's why I do not know any existential fears. "

What luxury means for him

"Luxury is for me: quite simply nothing to do. And that's exactly what I mean. Do nothing. I just hang around like that, jingle a bit on the piano without realizing what I'm playing. Just dream the day. That can be wonderful. "

Jealousy

"It's part of a relationship, to a degree. It shows that the other is important to you. But I'm not a fan of extreme jealousy. She can break so much. Mutual trust is the most important thing. "
