Forest Fires in California: An End in Sight?

The forest fires in the US state of California consist of three major fires: The "Camp Fire" fell victim to 50, 600 hectares of land. The "Woolsey Fire" is 39, 300 hectares. These two fires have so far not been contained more than 40 percent, while the "Hills Fire" was fought 75 percent. Over 9, 000 firefighters are on duty - we hope they can stop the fires soon and that no more people are injured.

More than 200, 000 people have had to be evacuated from their homes, 50 people have been killed in the flames: California's forest fires have been so destructive that there are no dry fires, no firefighting planes and other firefighting measures something against the flames can align.

The rich vegetation of the California forest areas makes the situation even more difficult: The fire is everywhere food and can spread rapidly - so houses and people can sometimes just not be rescued, although the forces give everything and even risk their own lives.

President Trump, in a forest management tweet, blames the alarming extent of the fire disaster - there is no reason for California's massive, deadly, and expensive forest fires. He claims that lost lives were due to the poor management of the forests, even though billions were paid by the state. Several stars then spoke up and offered Donald Trump paroli: Leonardo DiCaprio also refers in a tweet on climate change and the fact that the drought is the worst in the history of California. He also accuses Trump of abusing the disaster for political purposes. Also singer Katy Perry accuses Trump in a tweet heartlessness and makes clear that it is about good people who have lost their homes, and not about politics. Actress Alyssa Milano hits the nail on the head. She tweets to Trump: "... guess who owns most of the land in California? Your federal authorities. California only own 2%. Guess who cut the forest management budget? YOU WERE THAT."

Other Hollywood stars are even directly affected by the forest fires - they lost like countless other people their houses to the flames.
