You would like to knit this cute bag? No problem! Here is the knitting pattern!
You need this:
- 1 skein of knitting felt in blue and white (eg Coats Wash-and-felt-it-wool, handicraft shop)
- Knitting needles size 8 (haberdashery)
- Embroidery thread in white (haberdashery)
- embroidery needle
- Cord set in blue (department store)
- about 20 cm rickrack in red (haberdashery)
- Textile adhesive (eg from UHU)
- Wooden button (haberdashery)
- possibly Edelweißapplikation for ironing (haberdashery)
- scissors
That's how it's done:
1. Make 24 stitches from the blue yarn and knit 14 rows in garter stitch. Connect 16 rows of white yarn. Continue in blue for 12 turns, finish white with 4 turns.
2. Sew all threads very well.
3. Wash the knit at 60 ° C in the washing machine. The machine can be filled with other laundry. Form after washing, shape, let dry.
4. Turn the felt section inwards from the long side so that 2/3 of the area forms the pocket and 1/3 the flap.
5. Sew the edge together with embroidery thread.
6. Sew a piece about 6 cm long with a few stitches in the middle of the flap, sew on the button.
7. Attach a piece of rickrack in the width of the flap plus 6 cm of addition to the flap with textile adhesive, and glue the ends to the inside of the flap.
8. If necessary, iron an edelweiss application on the flap.
Tip: As an alternative to wash-and-felt-wool it is also possible to use 100% virgin wool without excessive twisting.
