Thanks to his book "The Ultimate New York Diet" David Kirsch also lets us share his weight loss tips.

In order to let the pounds fall with the protein diet, it is important to adhere strictly to the strict nutritional plan in order to lose a maximum of weight in the shortest possible time. In two weeks, David Kirsch promises, seven kilograms can be deducted. A typical breakfast provides a protein shake, in between a few almonds are cracked. For lunch, there is salad with lean turkey, in the evening is also lean poultry or fish on the menu. If hunger comes in between, almonds should be nibbled (in moderation!) Or eaten from a hard-boiled egg.

The sport factor is very important in the protein diet according to David Kirsch: the fitness guru orders his celebrity customers a 45- to 90-minute workout every day. The simplified basic principle of the "New York Body Plan": Thanks to the increased protein intake and the daily sports program, muscles are built up. Carbohydrates and fats are greatly reduced. The result: weight loss!

The different phases of the protein diet

Protein diet: Phase 1

For the first two weeks, dairy products, alcohol, bread, starchy carbohydrates, coffee, sweets, fruit and fat are taboo. Instead, there are lean meats, fish, whey products and nuts.

Protein diet: Phase 2

The second week is also over two weeks. Now, small amounts of carbohydrates are allowed, as are fruits. Nevertheless, the proportion of vegetables should clearly outweigh.

Protein diet: Phase 3

The third phase is for weight stabilization. The foods that were banned in Phase 1 may now be back on the menu. Of course only in moderation. If you should start gaining weight, start with Phase 1 again and go through the program again.
