Fashion designer Julia Starp wants to help the orphaned parents

In the summer of 2014, the best friend of Julia Starp lost her baby. Now the fashion designer wants to help orphaned parents with a special storybook.

"Last summer, my best friend did something that she and her husband would do for the rest of their lives. They lost their child. This pain and grief are infinite and can not be put into words. Although we are very close, as an unaffected person I can only vaguely guess what it means when parents have to give their child. "

As one of the closest friends of Hamburg fashion designer Julia Starp lost her child in the summer of 2014, Julia felt very helpless. She wanted so much to comfort her friend, but there was nothing she could do to make up for the loss of the Star Child.

A place where Julia's mourning friend could find some comfort was the Verein Verwaiste Eltern und Geschwister Hamburg eV. "This club is a very important point of contact and helps the mourners through one of the worst times . I admire the work of this association, especially as the bereaved companions, who are often themselves affected, for the most part volunteer to deal with this seriousness and injustice every day, "says Julia Starp.

Julia Starp wants to support the organization Orphaned Parents.

"Nothing is what it used to be ..."

The association tells of his work: "Every year between 16, 000 and 20, 000 children and adolescents die in Germany When a child dies, their world collapses for parents and siblings Nothing is as it once was We offer to families, in As soon as one or more children have died, support as soon as possible will make it easier for them to continue living with this disaster. " Among other things, the association organizes discussion groups for the parents, in which they can talk about their loss.

A storybook should help the parents of the star children

Julia Starp wanted to support this hard work and therefore focused on what she does best: fashion. Her idea: a fairy tale book for adults, designed with images of people who also care about helping relatives of star children. They all wear clothes from the "Fairy Tale Heroes" collection, which Julia presented for the first time at the Berlin Fashion Week in early 2015. The fairy-tale dresses, for example, show Cinderella, the little mermaid, the star-taler girl and Little Red Riding Hood with their evil wolf.

The profit from the storybook goes to the orphaned parents

The fairytale dresses arrived so well to the audience that Julia was sure they would work in a storybook. The high-quality storybook will be published in late 2015, the entire profit from the sale will donate to the Julia for orphaned parents. Julia explains: "In total, 13 original stories by the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen are visualized through creative and elaborate photo shootings, celebrities, models and artists become fairytale heroes."

The storybook will accompany those who have enjoyed a long life and who help those who have lost a person who had to say goodbye to life too early . "It would be a beautiful gift, for example, " says Julia Starp.

So that the donation sum for the association of orphaned parents becomes as large as possible, all involved photographers, artists and celebrities get involved in this project. Among them are Nina Bott, Maike von Bremen and Natascha Ochsenknecht.

"This book is for Moritz and all the children, who unfortunately can not be here anymore, but will never be forgotten", promises Julia and asks for support for the storybook project. Anyone who wants to contribute to the creation of the book with his donation can do so here on the Startnext page: Fairy Tale Heroes - the storybook project.

Current information on the creation of the book can be found on the Facebook page: Fairy Tale Heroes on Facebook. If you have questions about the project, you can contact Julia Starp directly:
