Taking pictures of food: this is how food intake succeeds

First take a quick photo

Many people do not cook and bake in their free time for only two or four people - but for hundreds. These people serve their goat's cheese quiche to their entire Facebook circle of friends. And in photo form, because taking pictures of food is currently very much in vogue. True to the motto: cook, snap, post.

Why do so many people - women and men, 15- and 65-year-olds - love to photograph their food so much?

We asked this question to an expert: ecotrophologist Ute Hantelmann. She explains Koch-Knipserei: "Having made something makes us proud, and the value of home-cooked food increases when others respond positively."

And they do. Lots. With about 307 Facebook contacts jump per Likes post easy 12 Likes and three to four "delicious, homemade?!" - Comments out. No wonder: food is a completely innocuous topic, to which everyone likes to express.
