Home remedies for mosquito bites

Mosquito bites are annoying - they itch and burn. Our tip: a mixture of egg shells and apple cider vinegar. This home remedy is guaranteed.

Mosquito bites are annoying. They itch or burn. And in the worst case, they only want to pass after a few days. Fortunately, there is an effective combination that helps against the red spots.

You still have a few eggshells left over from breakfast? Wonderful! Pour the skins together with a dash of apple cider vinegar into a tall container and brush the mosquito bites with the mixture. How it works? The vinegar combines with the calcium carbonate contained in the shell to form calcium acetate. The eggshell cider vinegar liquid has a calming effect and protects against further stings.

That's how it's done

Chop the eggshells, place in a tall container and top up with apple cider vinegar. Let it rest for 24 hours. Drain off the liquid and use a cotton ball to dab at the mosquito bite. Itching adé! A little tip: The eggshell and vinegar mix keeps in the fridge for at least a month and can therefore be put on stock.

What else helps against mosquito bites and how to prevent the itching spots? We'll tell you.
