Help the squirrel babies!
The vets inform: Squirrels urgently need our help! The cute babies often have a bad fate behind them!
At the beginning of autumn it is teeming with little squirrels in some areas that scurry through the colorful foliage. Most of the time the little rodents are very shy. But at this time of year, small juveniles, who are otherwise particularly anxious, suddenly join us. Veterinarians now have an important clue!
Although the little squirrels with their fluffy tail look really sweet, many people have respect for the animals. In particular, if a rodent runs after the people, which is extremely untypical for the animal, we assume prematurely that it is infected with rabies.
But that's not true! It happens more and more often that tiny squirrel children run towards us and even cling to our legs. These babies do not want us any harm - they lost their mother. The squirrels must be so hungry and thirsty that they even overcome their greatest fears of man. The clinging of the small rodents is not an attack, but a desperate act. These squirrel orphans desperately need our help and are looking for our closeness!
Veterinarians are currently increasingly pointing out to help the little squirrels and bring them into a practice. There they will be treated for nothing. If the squirrel baby is so far that it clings to us, it is poorly supplied. Maybe it even has minor injuries, because it can climb awkwardly without the help of the mother. In this case, the animals are so intelligent to ask people for help - a gesture we should not ignore.
