Special concept: The Abaton Cinema shows an animal protection film

The Abaton Cinema in Hamburg shows with Earthlings a particularly haunting animal protection film. Who looks at the whole movie, gets paid 20 euros.

Being paid to watch a movie - on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 5:30 pm, this will be possible at the Abaton Cinema in Hamburg. Another performance will be on October 3rd in Nuremberg.

Shown is the award-winning film Earthlings . It documents the suffering of animals for food production, in fashion, as domestic animals, in the entertainment industry and in medical research with recordings from livestock, mass breeding, fattening, slaughterhouses, the leather and fur trade, sports events, circuses and research laboratories.

With a hidden camera and never before seen footage, Earthlings is a chronicle of the everyday practice of the world's largest industries, feeding on profits at the expense of animals.

New law: animals are also victims!

"Earthlings is a must for anyone who cares about animals and wants to make the world a better place."

This is a small excerpt from the movie:

Filming began in 1999, when writer, producer and director Shaun Morgan produced a series of commercials for public institutions dealing with the castration of pets. The pictures he took in shelters in the Los Angeles area made him so affected that the project soon evolved into what is now going to be seen in the cinema as Earthling's film. It took a total of six years for the film to be completed.

On September 5, 2014, Earthlings will be shown in the Abaton Cinema in Hamburg. In order to motivate as many people as possible to watch this movie, every viewer who has reserved a seat for 10 euros and has watched the film to the end gets 20 euros back after the performance - ie 10 euros more than he actually pays Has.

The aim should be that as many people as possible, who are otherwise not interested in the topic, are encouraged to engage in a critical discussion and question their own consumption behavior in relation to animal products.

Anyone who supports the Earthlings film project will receive further information and tickets here: earthlings-kino.de
