Tinker with old cans: You will not believe what a great decoration you can make from the cans. We have 4 DIY ideas to imitate.

That's what they need for the planters:

  • 3 tin cans (425 ml content)
  • security can opener
  • Wallpaper or paper embossed (craft shop)
  • double-sided adhesive tape
  • Spray paint in white (MTN 90, color: 94R-9010 White, 3, 75 €, www.mtn-shop.de)
  • succulents
  • potting soil
  • ruler
  • Cutter with cutting pad
  • scissors
  • Paper for the work surface

And that's how easy it is:

1. Open cans with a safety can opener, empty and clean.

2. Cut paper or wallpaper according to the can width and circumference (about 10.3 cm x 25 cm).

3. Stick cut ribbon with double-sided adhesive tape around the tin.

4. Preserve outside or in a well-ventilated room on a substrate with white paint spray.

5. Plant succulents in the cans.

1. Open cans with a safety can opener, empty and clean.

1. Open cans with a safety can opener, empty and clean.

2. Draw desired motifs on a sheet of paper with a black pen.

3. Cut the templates and glue them onto the cans with the help of a tesa film.

4. Hammer holes with hammer and nail evenly spaced along the line of the subject.

5. Spray canned food in different colors outside or in a well-ventilated room on a surface and let it dry.

6. Put a tealight in the middle of the preserve.

Do not allow candles to burn unattended and avoid drafts. Keep the burning bowl clean. If the candle smokes, wick shorten something. Only burn the candle on an incombustible base or use a self-extinguishing candle.
