4. Turn the bag. At the center of the flap, sew a button and an elastic band to the loop.

You need this:

  • Knöfpe (department store)
  • Stoffreste
  • Textile glue (craft shop)
  • pins
  • needle and thread
  • fabric scissors

1. Cut the rickrack and fix it in the desired position with pins on the cosmetic bag.

2. Use needle and thread to sew the rickrack to the bag.

3. Decorate bag with buttons and sew on them as well.

4. Cut a small boat out of scraps of cloth with the scissors and glue it onto the bag with textile glue. Use a strand as a mast and attach some embroidery stitches.

5. Put a wire through the zipper and close it with a sewn-on button.

You need this:

  • Fabric (of fabric and style, Art. Nr.:815538)
  • Lining material (eg fine oilcloth)
  • Zipper, 27 cm
  • ruler
  • French chalk
  • fabric scissors
  • pins
  • Sewing machine and color matching yarn

1. Using a tailor's chalk, draw and cut out a rectangle of 47 x 25 cm on the fabric and lining.

2. Iron the short sides of the fabrics for 1 cm each.

3. Pin the cut edges of the lining material to the undersides of the opened zipper.

4. Stick the outer fabric with the side turned in on the upper sides of the zipper.

5. Sew all 3 parts together, leaving 1 cm free on the open sides.

6. Pull all fabrics apart so that the zipper marks the middle between the outer fabric and the lining. The fabrics are each right to right.

7. Starting from the zipper, close the pages in the lockstitch. Only in the lining material at a seam about 6 cm open for turning.

8. Mark the fabric breakage of fabric and lining to sew off the corners. Fold the sides of the bag to the middle of the bottom to make a corner. About this corner like a milk carton stitch at right angles to the seam a triangle of about 6 cm.

9. Repeat for all 4 corners.

10. Turn the bag through the turning opening, sew the opening by hand. Move the lining material left to left in the outer fabric. Place the corners of the lining in the corners of the outer fabric.

11. Pull out the end of the zipper and sew a small rectangle over the end to reinforce.
