Fresh herb garden

Wonderful! The kitchen smells of fresh herbs! With our instructions for a herbal shelf, you can stow your pots properly.

You need this for the herbal shelf:

  • Wax (Au Maison, about 5.50 €)
  • Sewing machine with matching yarn
  • fabric scissors
  • tape measure
  • Round wood about 4cm (hardware store)
  • jigsaw
  • wall hooks
  • Drill with matching screws
  • potted herbs

And that's how easy it is:

1. Cut out of oilcloth a 50cm x 60cm rectangle, with a seam allowance of 1cm all edges overcast.

2. Fold the upper edge 9cm down and stitch together long enough to create a tunnel for the wooden stick.

3. Fold the remaining lower part approx. 1 cm over the seam of the tunnel and stitch it together on the sides.

4. For the pockets, sew two seams up to the edge at regular intervals.

5. Saw a log of approx. 4cm to a length of approx. 75cm and push it through the tunnel.

6. Fasten two wall hooks for the rod to the wall and hang the herb bags, now plant the bags with the herbs, they can also be put into the pockets in the plastic pots.

Done is the herb shelf!
