Turia Pitt on the title of "Australian Women's Weekly"

A young woman smiles from the magazine cover: The hair is sitting, the outfit is stylish and the pose is confident. Only one thing differs from the typical picture: your skin is burned to 65 percent.

The current cover picture on the " Australian Women's Weekly " does not necessarily correspond to the norm - and thus ensures enthusiasm. After all, this time, they did not opt for a Hollywood star or a famous singer, but for a young woman with an equally inspiring story.

Turia Pitt is an avid athlete - until today. But during a 100-kilometer Ultra Marathon in Western Australia, her life should change forever. She fell into a bushfire, from which she could only be rescued with severe burns all over her body. The doctors thought their chances of survival were low, but Turia Pitt fought - and won.

Today she is motivation coach and author, incidentally, she also impresses with her sporting successes. Last year alone, she wandered the Great Wall of China, cycled from Sydney to Ayers Rock, and participated in a 20-kilometer swimming competition. In doing so, she promotes "Interplast, " an organization dedicated to reconstructive surgery in developing countries.

Hats off to so much ambition, perseverance and sportiness! The "Australian Women's Weekly" is not unjustly calling Turia Pitt an "inspirational young woman"!
