The noblest robes, the most expensive jewelry, the most extraordinary accessories: the Met Gala 2014 is an event of superlatives! Just a ticket for the charity event costs around $ 25, 000. Needless to say that only the most valuable fabrics and first-class designers are executed on this red carpet. Or?
Not even close! Because these ladies decided on the dress choice for the Met Gala 2014 for Topshop ! The models Kendall Jenner, Jourdann Dunn, Chanel Iman and Toni Garrn wore clothes of the British textile giant - and looked just stunning! Also dressed by Topshop and not in the photo: Zoe Kravitz, who wore a low-cut, ox-silk silk crepe dress with pleated details at the hips and sheer straps.
Of course, off-the-peg clothes did not exist for the main red carpet of the fashion industry, of course, the robes were tailor made.
What did that look like on the red carpet? Kendall Jenner was wearing a rosé-colored, strapless Duchess satin robe with a dramatic hem. Model Jourdan Dunn came in a yellow silk robe with a low neckline and voluminous hemline. Chanel Iman chose a gray, backless silk-satin robe with pleated details. And Toni Garrn opted for a pale blue silk organza robe with black pleated details. In other words: CHEAP IS CHIC!
