Do you prefer to slip in your pajamas in the evening or do you bet on naturism? As a Nacktschäfer you belong according to a new study to the minority in Germany.

Nudist in bed? For most Germans this is taboo. They prefer to cuddle up in their pajamas at night. According to a survey by the Nuremberg Society for Consumer Research, only nine percent of Germans still sleep naked. Ten years ago, on the other hand, 12 percent opted for clothes in bed.

As part of the survey, at the beginning of November 2011, 8900 consumers across Germany were asked about the wearing and buying behavior of nightwear. The result: The most permissive sleep in East Germany! After all, every ninth - and therefore proud eleven percent - is one of the Nacktschläfern.
Clothes while sleeping
But although most Germans sleep veiled, less sleepwear is sold in this country. Because instead of slumbering in pajamas or nightgown, most would rather opt for T-shirts and shorts or briefs, as the same survey also found out. Ten years ago, 30 percent chose this type of clothing in bed, but now it's already 35 percent.
Something positive has the development but also: Only every third woman wears a nightgown at night, which - let's face it - is not very sexy. Then rather shorts and shirt!
