Rex Gildo - We've all wronged him!

We still have the pictures in front of us: with uncertain steps he dances across the stage. Forgets the text of his favorite hits, swallowing whole syllables. His eyes are erratic, looking desperate for a stop in the crowd. All of us then suffered with the poor person up there at the microphone. Because we realized that this aging star is the victim of his destructive alcohol addiction! Rex Gildo - a man on his way to the abyss.

But now, a few days before his 10th anniversary on October 26th, good friends have spoken up to let us know that we have all wronged him!

In fact, Rex Gildo was the victim of a serious illness.

But he never talked about misunderstood shame! People close to the pop singer now tell us what made him break: he was suffering from severe multiple sclerosis.

The popular hit duo Cindy (61) and Bert (63) regularly went on tour with the "Fiesta Mexicana" star. For years. And Cindy reports amazing things:

"I know he took strong painkillers with massive side effects because of his terrible back pain."

The singer suffered from severe physical discomfort, which he even said, "Those damn back pains are killing me!"

A tragic premonition: On October 23, 1999, he fell out of the window of his apartment in Munich.

In the opinion of his friends of strong painkillers "completely fogged, he did not remember what he did".

Was he really never drunk? We hook up. "No, " assures Cindy vehemently, "I've never seen him drunk!"

Other friends knew about his suffering. To the Munich celebrity host Roy Dubovy (61), Rex fled in his darkest hours. Even stayed in his house. Then, when the star had a fight with his adolescent friend Dave Klingeberg (36) again.

And that happened frequently. Roy Dubovy: "Rex often had to take painkillers." He also suspects that hid behind the back pain a much worse disease. Because even before his closest friends Gildo always wanted to save his face - and not talk about his multiple sclerosis.

THE NEW LEAF researched in the family history of Ludwig Franz Hirtreiter (so Gildos civil name) and found out:

After father Hirtreiter left his wife and children early, the beloved mother of the later star fell ill with "multiple sclerosis" and spent many years in a wheelchair.

For Rex Gildo, it was a constant nightmare to end his mother. Especially since the doctors had told him that one could not rule out an inheritance of the disease - and the singer noticed over time, that the symptoms of the disease made him more and more noticeable: immobility, dizziness, speech disorders, depressive moods.

In addition: "MS" is treated with strong painkillers and cortisone.

A drug that also took Rex Gildo, as his colleague Bert confirmed to us: "He has always been under cortisone for the last few years!" However, cortisone, which is well known, leads to the fact that the patients appear bloated - and look like alcoholics!

The "dropouts" on the stage, the unsteady gait - everything fits into the clinical picture. Poor Rex Gildo: What must he have suffered ...
