Rosy times for the cold months

The Lenz rose is the ideal guest in the winter garden, because it defies the cold season with lots of color and extends the feeling of summer lightness.

Also on the balcony and terrace, planted in a pot or bucket, the flower wonder is a successful cheer against a sad image of ice and snow.

In the cold season, bright colors in the outdoor oasis are rather rare, but a plant defies the gray and also convinces in winter with lots of color . The Lenzrose offers red, purple and yellow flowers and conjures up beautiful accents in the tired garden. She also has the right attire for a discreet appearance - a blossom in white with a lemon-yellow center.

Originally from the Alps, the plant, known by the Latin name Helleborus, has a long tradition as an ornamental plant in other climes.

With dark purple flowers, the Lenz rose spreads a luxurious flair and conjures up almost a breath of "1, 000 and one night" in the home garden. In combination with noble materials such as dark wood, copper or other shiny metallic accessories and glass, the look in the trend "Eco Deluxe" is well staged.

Even romantics get their money's worth, so the garden plant not only bears the name of the love for standing rose, but also their flower looks similar to their namesake. Arranged on the terrace with candles, the result is a harmonious, relaxing panorama, which can also be enjoyed from the warm living room.

care Tips

Originally, the Lenzrose is native to the eastern North and South Alps and westward to Vorarlberg and in the northern Balkans. As an ornamental plant in the garden, it therefore likes calcareous soil, but is overall robust and makes few care claims to the gardener. The location should not be chosen in full sun, especially in summer, and both in the bed and in the pot, the winter beauty prefers a place protected from rain . With a bit of mulch and peat to protect the shallow-growing roots, and regular watering so that the soil never dried out, the Lenz rose is completely satisfied.
