4. When the eye turns red

A red eye can have many causes. First, an acute conjunctivitis. This is associated with a foreign body sensation and pain. Even the so-called eye flu, a viral infection that currently occurs frequently, can behind it. It can also be an inflammation of the middle eye skin, the uvea. This often occurs in conjunction with a rheumatic disease and can even lead to blindness. Tip: Be sure to clarify why your eye is red. Antibiotic drops help with conjunctivitis. 7. White-yellow ring around the iris

Older people often have a bright ring around the iris. However, if it develops in middle age, this is usually an indication of elevated cholesterol levels and thus an increased risk of myocardial infarction. Tip: Have blood fat values ​​checked by the family doctor.

8. Take blurred vision seriously

Sometimes the view is crazy. Even phenomena such as flickering, flurries or black spots can say a lot about our physical condition.
