WWF Panda for Sustainability at Netto

Netto struggles and focuses on sustainability. In the future, the WWF Panda can be found on the shelves of the brand discounts.

Discount stores also try to excel in quality. Netto Marken-Discount is now launching a new corporate direction: Sustainability is on the agenda. To get net brings the WWF Panda on the boat and thus on the shelf.

The World Wide Fund For Nature, WWF for short, Germany is committed, among other things, to the sustainable production of food in the context of environmental protection.

Netto wants to join in here. As part of a cooperation in the future, the WWF Panda will decorate selected products of the private label, which were produced sustainably.

With the environmental logo Netto wants to show its customers a sustainable alternative to other products on the shelf and raise awareness of environmental protection. The Panda must not stick everywhere: Only products that have been tested by independent testing organizations and comply with WWF standards bear the logo.

By the way: WWF and Netto have been cooperating since 2009. The discounter has been supported by the WWF for six years in the more sustainable range of fish and seafood products. Now this cooperation is extended and made visible to the customer on the basis of the Panda logo on many other products.

But Netto is even more effort: For environmental protection organized the brand discount in August, a fundraiser, go to the 3.-29.8.2015 each € 1 to WWF when customers pay via the mobile net app.

WWF is pleased about the developed cooperation: " We consumers have it in hand. By buying more sustainable products, we can positively impact the entire supply chain.
