Attention, hay fever time!

Lie in the grass and enjoy the sun. Buy a fancy necklace in the jewelry shop or a new cream in the perfumery shop. For many, this often ends in sneezing, dermatitis or itching. Nearly 20 million Germans have an allergy - and there are more and more. Experts agree that an interaction of several factors is responsible.

Excessive cleanliness

Studies show that children who grow up in rural areas are less likely to have allergies. Your immune system has to fight more often against potential pathogens and obviously builds up better protection against them. Aggressive cleaning agents and excessive hygiene, on the other hand, increase the allergy tendency.

Too many antibiotics

Doctors prescribe them too fast. Problem: The bacteria killers also disturb the defense.

Increasing pollution

Pollutants such as diesel soot and particulate matter attach to pollens. This makes them even more stressful for allergy sufferers.

global warming

Milder winters cause pollen to fly earlier. The breather is getting shorter and shorter.
