This is what you need for the fabric bulbs:

  • materials
  • various fabric remnants
  • Sewing machine and matching sewing thread
  • fiberfill
  • green embroidery thread
  • Felt in green (craft shop, sheet from about € 1.99)
  • scissors
  • fabric marker
  • sewing needle

And this is how it's done:

1. Sew together two different patterned fabric remnants. Repeat procedure with two other substances.
2. Place these two fabric pieces exactly on the seam, right to right. Transfer the pear template to the fabric with tailor's chalk so that the seam is centered over the pear.
3. Sew the pear together, except for an opening at the bottom.
4. Cut out with a seam allowance of approx. 0.5 cm and turn fabric over.
5. Stuff the pear with filling cotton.
6. Loosely sew at the opening with needle and thread.
7. Pull the thread together so that the opening closes and fix with a double knot.
8. Cut out a matching sheet of felt and sew tight with green embroidery thread to the top of the pear.
