The success story began in 1919 in Paris, where Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel opened her studio. The former chanson singer revolutionized the dress code: "I oppose fashion, which is transient, I can not accept throwing away clothes just because it's spring."
The icon became Coco Chanel, shortening skirts to an unbelievable length - down to the knee. Her scent "Chanel Nº 5" created in 1923 is considered an absolute classic. After her death in 1971, things got a little quieter around the brand. It was not until 1983 when Karl Lagerfeld came, that he catapulted Chanel back into the first fashion league and thrilled his fans with six collections a year.
