Baby Shane Haley only stay in this world for a few hours

At the beginning of the pregnancy, Baby Shane's parents learned that their son would not live long. But he should still experience as much as possible.

It is a message that expecting parents hope they will never hear: Jenna Gassew is just 13 weeks pregnant when she and her partner Dan Haley learn that their baby is suffering from the deadly disease anencephaly .

This neuronal malformation, which occurs before the 26th day of pregnancy, has the result that the skull of the diseased unborn child does not close properly. In many cases, neither the brain stem nor the pituitary (hormone gland) develop properly. Babies who develop anencephaly during pregnancy have very little life expectancy.

When Jenna and Dan learned that their baby would not live long, they decided to give little Shane as many wishes as possible before he was born. The young expectant parents created a 'bucket list' for their baby, capturing everything their son should experience before he was born.

Together with her unborn child, Jenna Gassew and Dan Haley travel to New York. They also attend numerous baseball games or buy Shane his first own little Halloween pumpkin. On the Facebook page 'Prayers for Shane', the couple holds all his trips and experiences. Shane becomes world famous as a bucket list baby even before he was born.

Even in the face of the tragedy ahead of them, Jenna and Dan are always optimistic. Along with Shane's now over 900, 000 Facebook fans, the couple manages to get all the points on their baby's bucket list.

The birth of Baby Shane

Bucket List Baby Shane sees the light of day in the early morning of October 9th. Only four hours after his birth, the baby dies in his mother's arms. The parents are still grateful for the time they were allowed to spend with their son and the few hours he was in their arms. On her Facebook page it says, "Shane spent his entire life in the arms of people who loved him unconditionally, and I do not think he could have had a better life."

With her and Shane's story, Jenna and Dan now want to alert others to the deadly disease that killed their son. Shane's story is a bit reminiscent of little Monroe Staley. She also was not granted a long life. But beautiful photos caused that she will never be forgotten.
