Cat Russell gives comfort to sick animals

Cat Russell was rescued from a burning house - and lives in the animal hospital. There, the red-tabby cat takes care of animal fellow patients.

Russell's story goes to the heart. In early 2014, his home burned down. The cat just barely escaped the fire, was found badly injured and taken to the Animal Emergency Hospital and Urgent Care Veterinary Clinic. Especially his little face had caught it bad. Lovingly, the vets cared for Russell's recovery, but unfortunately his ears could not save her.

Happy Caturday from the big man! Because every king needs a proper castle.

The whole thing is over a year now - and Russell is still in the veterinary clinic. But actually not more than intensive care. The cat has found a new home in the hospital. But not only that: Russell helps others, animal patients in recovery. How does he do that? With a lot of love and a lot of cuddles.

We have had a very busy week at the hospital; everyone around here is beat! Here's a peaceful and peaceful week for all.

Russell knows no fear of contact. Whether with other cats, dogs or even fawns - the red velvet paw provides comfort to each patient with his presence. Alan Wilford, an employee of the clinic, tells in an interview with The Dodo, "Russell is incredibly dedicated, he really wants to meet every one of our patients, he just wants to be with them, I do not know if he can feel when other animals are in pain but he has an incredible talent for getting in touch with the animals - even if you think that will not work. " And so Russell turns every day his little round through the veterinary clinic and looks to the right. Here is a nap with the one-eyed terrier Rocko, there a little cuddling with the newly arrived LabradorrĂ¼den.

Darla and Russell would like to know that they are going to the evening news! Special thanks to ABC11 ...

And so Russell not only cuddles in the hearts of sick animals. The staff of the Animal Clinic in North Carolina do not want to miss her cat anymore. "At the veterinary clinic, he's a real rock star, everyone wants to see him and he enjoys it. I do not know if he wants to be a normal house cat again, we're definitely happy to have him here as our mascot, " Wilford says further.
