Farewell to "Judge"

On his last journey, the German Shepherd Dog "Judge" was honored with a special honor. So his colleagues said goodbye to him.

" Judge " was one of the best dogs the West Deptford Police ever had in New Jersey. The German Shepherd has to answer for 152 arrests. His account also includes three confiscated cars, three disarmed people in the street, and more than 47, 000 seized dollars.

For six years, the police dog of the West Deptford Police served until he fell ill in 2013. At first it was just a problem with his teeth, so he could barely chew. But then he got sick with the Cushing syndrome, which meant that he lost coat, constantly had nosebleeds and had to vomit. His immune system was very weak and the disease caused several tumors, the chances of recovery were zero. But the townspeople did not want to give up the dog yet and raised $ 13, 000 for the treatment of " Judge ."

But in the end nothing led around: The German Shepherd had to be euthanized. On his last trip, his former colleagues said goodbye to the police with trellis and tears. They stood from the parking lot to the treatment room. The vets and carers also said their goodbyes. With his favorite toy in his mouth, the cancer-stricken dog ran into the hospital room, where he was euthanized.
