A Marriage To Remember

In 2009, Pam White was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Always at her side is her husband Ed, who reminds her every day how much he loves her. Their mutual son Banker made a moving documentary about his parents' marriage. The name: A Marriage To Remember.

Pam White is 61 years old when she is diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2009. She is shocked, is scared. She encourages herself and tells herself that not much will change. Pam is the mother of three children. She gives everything for her family. Alzheimer's is just a minor disruption to her, she says in the video. That's how it was at least in 2010.

Since then, much has changed for Pam and her family. Especially for Pams husband Ed. The more his wife forgets, the more he has to help her with everyday things like getting dressed and getting up. But Ed likes to do these things. His love for his wife is the same as before. Proof of this are the scenes that Sohn Banker and his wife Anna Fitch captured for several years by his parents. The result is a moving video documentary called 'A Marriage to Remember'.

The video shows in a very honest way how a diagnosis like Alzheimer's is gradually changing not only the lives of those affected, but also of their family members. It is particularly difficult for Ed, who watches every day, as the love of his life, bit by bit, further away from him.

But the caring husband does not give up and shows his wife every day how much he loves and appreciates her. Every day, Ed tells his Pam how much he loves her, how special her smile is, and what a great life they had together.

It is clear to Ed that he will keep his promise to Pam to spend his life with her. No matter what happens. At the bottom of the video everyone can convince themselves of this special love that stirs to tears.
