The story of Allison and John tells a storybook. The couple is already getting to know each other at school. They want to spend their lives together, get married and have children. And in fact, all of their wishes are gradually fulfilled: one baby quickly becomes two, then four - then the parents decide to adopt another son.
Two years later, the five-time mother reaches a message that turns the family's life upside down once more: a friend's friend is pregnant. But she will not be able to raise the child. Instead, Allison and John are again faced with the decision to adopt another baby. The loving parents do not hesitate: they agree. Anticipation of the new family member sprouts up.
A rollercoaster ride of emotions begins
But on the night of birth suddenly everything changes. The family is on the way to the hospital, where they expect a happy surprise: The mother gets twins!
Even while the children are happy about two new siblings - a girl and a boy - the parents are already getting the next message. This time it's a tragic one: the little girl's brain is not fully developed. It will probably not survive the birth.
Once in the hospital, history takes another turn. The twins are born and live - both. Sam and Ava see their adoptive parents for the first time. The family can hardly believe their luck.
Although the twin girl Ava has survived the birth, she is seriously ill. Yet, Allison and John do not doubt their decision for a second: they will adopt the twins and do everything they can to enjoy life.
