Great anxiety about husband Albert Fortell

The bad news she learned on the phone: accident! Blue light! Clinic! Actor Albert Fortell (57) was seriously injured on the ski slope. "If you learn something like that, of course, one's heart will stop, " explains his wife Barbara Wussow (48) in an interview with DAS NEUE BLATT. It's a family drama - and just before Christmas.

What happened to your husband Albert Terrible?

He trained on the Kitzsteinhorn in Kaprun for a ski show on the ORF. Celebrities should compete against ski legends. And that's what happened: Albert fell and dislocated his elbow. That hurt terribly. He lay there for an hour in the snow with his pains.

How terrible ...

He has even retracted his elbow himself. He knows that. After all, he has already five times the right and six times dislocated the left shoulder. It's easier to get your elbow in than a shoulder, but it's still chipped off, and now he has to wear his arm in plaster for seven weeks.

He put his elbow back in his own right?

Unbelievable, is not it? He did that. The pain has been terrible. And then only the cold. He came totally cold to the hospital. Now he is recovering slowly.

Albert is a particularly fast-paced skier ...

Yes, he drives like a 20-year-old. That he no longer has to do that at his age, he has not really understood yet. But he also has a ski instructor training, was in the squad. He is actually a good driver.

It could have been worse. Did you worry about your husband?

But surely I was very worried about him. However, I learned of his accident only after he had left the clinic. So much later. My husband called me.

And now he is at home and will hopefully be comforted and cared for by everyone?

Of course, everyone cares about him. Also the kids. Especially our Johanna

I know how much you have to regret Papi ...

Can Albert decorate the Christmas tree this year?

He already succeeds. With one hand. Only he can not buy and tow him this year. I'll have to help Christkind. It must be a very large fir. We have a ceiling height of about 3.80 meters.

Do you ski as well?

I am a late bloomer. Out of sheer love for my husband, I learned that at the age of 28. But I am anything but a good skier. He always brings me to a hut. I'll sit there, enjoy the sun, drink my tea and drive down the slope. Then he comes, picks me up and brings me to the next hut. There I get a pea soup with sausages and he goes back up and down. And at the end of the day I always know all the huts ...

If the weather plays along, that can be very nice.

Well, if it storms and snows, then I'm not there. Then nobody gets me on the mountain. I'm not tired of life!

And her children? Can they already ski?

They learned skiing from the beginning. Nicholas was already at the age of three on the boards and he's already chasing after Albert. And Johanna also started at the age of three. I was excited! In the beginning she always fired me from the tow because she was hanging on me like a sack of flour. Then I gave her a children's course and after a week she was able to ride really well.

Great …

Alas, children learn that much faster, because they approach the matter without fear. That's fun when they fall down in the snow. That's a good thing. At my age, that's a lot, much harder to learn skiing.

Do you have any Christmas presents?

Most of them have already sent the Christkind over, only a few are still on the way. So there is no stress. The Christ child can be very relaxed. And since I look for gifts all year long for the Christ child, we can stay relaxed anyway. I have everything under control. Even now.

Aha.

Our children get so much that they can tolerate it. We do not want to overtax her. There were also written wish list, which hung in the window and were picked up by the Christ Child. The wishes were not that big. They were very important, but they were not that many.

What do you want?

Nikolaus wants a Playstation and Johanna wants a circus from Playmobil. And just what the Christ child thinks so.

How will you celebrate Christmas this year?

How will celebrate as always: With Sascha in the house. That will be nice. It will be a quiet evening. On the first holiday we will be with my mother's sister. The next day is the goose meal with me.

What is there to eat?

Always the same: I have such a Christmas soup. this is an oxtail soup. Then there is a baked carp with potato salad and corn salad. Then there are Christmas cookies.
