Princess Margriet, 70, the sister of Queen Beatrix, 75, will spend some restless nights. Because her husband Pieter van Vollenhoven (73) has an acute heart failure, which will be explored in the next few days in the University Hospital of Utrecht closer.
An incipient pneumonia gave cause for concern. The investigations pointed to a reduced cardiac function. Therefore, the Dutch royal court now announced that Pieter van Vollenhoven had to cancel participation in some events.
