The beautiful story of Abigail gives hope

The doctors said little Abigail would die. The baby was born with a big brain tumor. The parents wanted to say goodbye - but then everything turned out very differently!

When little Abigail was born, her parents Erika and Stephan Jones had little hope of ever seeing her little girl walk. "Your daughter has Down syndrome and a malignant tumor in the brain. Removing it would be pointless, because the malignant tissue would grow back quickly, "said the doctors, advising them to take their little daughter home and lovingly care for her until her death.

To keep her daughter forever, the parents had beautiful photos taken of Abigail. She can be seen with her parents and her big sister Audrey.

Every picture radiates with love. That little Abigail should die - no one who saw these photos would believe it. And yet, the parents believed that they would have only a few weeks with their baby.

But Abigail did not die. Instead, the little girl developed wonderfully. She laughed, she squealed, staring at the world around her with curiosity. When Erika and Stephan saw their baby like this, they decided to have the girl examined again.

Abigail's brain was rechecked at Boston's Children's Hosptial. And then, in fact, came the incredibly happy news that Erika and Stephan had not dared to hope for. The tumor was not malignant!

"The Florida hospital sent Abigail home with a death sentence, " said neurosurgeon Dr. Alan R. Cohen from the hospital in Boston. "But when I looked at the scan from her brain, I saw that the tumor might not be malignant. So I called her mother and told her that we should not give up Abigail yet. "

For the parents of Abigail the news was a shock. But when they finally realized that their daughter would live, they were infinitely happy. Until then, they had not even had their daughter vaccinated, they had also set up a nursery. "Now I suddenly believe that my baby will live, " writes Abigail's mother on Facebook.

The Abigail tumor has been successfully removed and the little girl is on her way to recovery.

Her mom wrote, "I'm so happy! I can barely breathe when I look at my beautiful girl. My girl. I can keep you! I can not wait to see how you live your life. I'm so overwhelmed! "
